Acting and Auditioning for Film and Television: Ages 10-14
Wednesdays 4:15-6:15
September 18th to December 4th (12 Classes)
3F Studio – 134 McPhilips Ave, across from the Saltspring Library
$476+GST
Unlike other acting classes, the students work in each class is actually done *on camera*, using actual scripts from professional film and television auditions. Students get a lot of individual focus, support, and feedback, and get the videos of their scenes every week.
What should students expect to get out of class?
Acting helps young folks to build confidence and creativity and learn about themselves, by taking an active role in *creating* emotionally engaging stories, instead of just watching them. Students work on practice scripts from professional film+TV projects that cast and shot locally, and learn the real skills that young folks use to audition and work on set. No experience is needed to join a class, only a willingness to learn, practice and play.
Is it really possible for young folks on Saltspring to work professionally?
If they’re keen, young actors have a real shot at getting work in the industry, and now that auditions have shifted entirely to “self-tape” auditions, it’s more possible than ever to audition and work professionally from Saltspring.

“I’m a talent agent and saw that our clients had great success with their training with you… so of course I chose your classes for my daughter!” -Amanda Rozak, Talent Agent, Lizbell Agency
